Case Study

Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis

Galvanizing a region through the Arts

Client:

RAC

The Problem:

To develop an initiative for cultural change.

Our Role:

To uncover the brand goals for the initiative, collaborated through strategic planning sessions, designed all materials — logo, website, experiential graphics, etc. — helped plan, execute and promote launch events.

Facing increased cultural tensions in the St. Louis community at large, The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis (RAC) asked a challenging question: Could the arts have the power to transform not only individuals, but also families, communities and the region itself? In other words, could the Arts EVOKE real cultural change?

Bigwidesky designed the Arts & Vision report document for Regional Arts Commission.

To help create context for the conversations around this strategic initiative, Bigwidesky used our design futures process to create a brand where none had existed before. We worked with RAC to uncover the brand goals for the initiative, collaborated through strategic planning sessions, named the effort “EVOKE,” designed all materials — logo, website, experiential graphics, etc. — and helped plan, execute and promote RAC’s launch events leading up to and including the online deployment of the full arts report.
